A visit with Rosalie in Brisbane
We reunited with my very good friend Rosalie (who I worked with at Octagon in Sydney). One meeting was in her hometown of Brisbane and then she drove up to meet us in Noosa. In fine Australian style, both visits involved lots of great conversation, "sparkling" (Australian champagne) and yummy seafood. The kids wanted to compare iPad apps and we introduced Rosalie to a family favorite, "Wheel of Fortune."
While in Brisbane, we visited the Museum of Modern Art that featured an exhibit by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. She uses dots in all of her artwork and installations. At the end of the exhibit, we were surprised with an "obliteration room." Sounds a bit scary but quite the contrary. Visitors are invited to decorate a completely white, life-sized Australia living room with colored dots. It was strangely magical!
