Gorgeous Noosa

We’ve just finished up a week in Noosa, a gorgeous beach resort town located in Queensland (approximately 12 hours north of Sydney).   Rick’s Starwood points treated us well yet again, as we were able to stay at the Sheraton resort with a 2 bedroom suite.  We all love each other but that much time in one small hotel room would have tested our relationships!  It was nice to spread out with some space.

Noosa is filled with lovely little boutique shops and offered some good window shopping.  Café tables spill out into the street as people enjoy “a coffee” at all times of day.  It’s all very upscale; a well-travelled Aussie guy we met called it the “Hamptons of Australia."  While we loved the town, the highlights by far were the beach and  the Noosa National Park.

The National Park is filled with hiking trails that wind through the bush and along the rocky coastline.  The views are simply stunning.  We took (dragged) the kids out for a shorter walk that led to a rocky beach.  Luke was thrilled when I told him there was no shortage of stones and he could throw as many as his little heart desired. Rick took an early morning hike a few days later and took some great photos.
